Alvin Smith
Alvin A. Smith is President and Chairman of the board of AA Smith & Associates, LLC.
Alvin is nationally known for his twenty-two years of leadership at Avon Products where he was instrumental in developing leading edge diversity management strategies as Chief Diversity Officer.
Alvin is currently an Adjunct Professor at Cornell University ILR, teaching two courses in the Advanced Diversity & Inclusion Certificate Program.
Alvin has a Bachelor of Science in Management from New York University Stern Business School, a Marketing Management Certificate from Atlanta University Graduate School and is an American Management Association (AMA) certified trainer. Alvin is also a certified DiSC Behavioral Instructor.
Alvin's additional certifications include: Human Resource Specialist Training and Human Resources Certification from the Walker Group.
Anitra Jones
Anitra Jones is SVP of Human Resources and Vice Chair of the board at AA Smith & Associates, LLC.
Anitra has been leading and supporting human resources programs and objectives for over 10,000 employees across multiple states. With over 19 years of experience and achievements in the healthcare field, Anitra has proven competencies in all facets of human resources, including policy planning, management, personnel development, benefits and payroll.
Anitra also serves as a Senior Director of Human Resources at Encompass Health, a leading provider of rehabilitation services.
Anitra holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Lincoln University
Anitra's experience has helped cultivate relationships with individuals of all levels within multiple organizations, and foster engagement and inclusion through exceptional communication skills.
Anitra has implemented strategic plans for talent acquisition, retention and succession planning, resulting in increased employee satisfaction and reduced turnover.
